Introduction: Cardiac involvement in Echinococcus infestation is rare, ranging from 0.5 to 2% 1,2,3. Left ventricle is most commonly involved but involvement of the right ventricle, left atrium, right atrium and inter atrial septum have also been reported.
Discussion: Cystic Hydatid disease is cause by the small tape worm Taenia echinococcus or Echinococcus granulous whish spends part of its parasitic life cycle in dogs and sheep.
